Do you believe in Easter?

Hi, my name is Huanyan. Do you believe in Easter?

Do you believe in Easter?

Do you believe that you can have a second chance in living through Christ Jesus, because he died on the cross and resurrected three days later?

You know, we are all messed up. I'm sure we have all done things which we wish we can retract. We have all done so much wrong things that we want to start over again if we can have a chance. That's why sometimes, we want a chance of environment, a change of school, a change of workplace. Cos the future holds the hope of something better.

But starting over will require a few steps. We need to be genuine, to have the right motivation to live a second chance. We need to be transformed and we need to have a deep sense of urgency.

For me, what does all these mean?

For me, the right motivation to live a second chance is to have awe for God and be motivated to live for Him and the love that originates in Christ which propels us ti live for Christ. I understand that some of the readers may find it very difficult to comprehend what I am talking about. In fact, some may say, 'WHAT? WHAT IS THIS RELIGIOUS FREAK?' But then, all previous posts since this year have been circulating around this theme. It's actually very simple, I believe that Jesus was born into this Earth in Bethleham, walked, talked, taught, got caught for our sins, got persecuted for our sins, got flogged for our sins, got spat at for our sins, got crucified for our sins, got buried with our sins and lastly got resurrected so that the wages of sin can no longer have a hold on Him and appeared to more than 500 men for around 40 days. Because of this, just as sin enters this world through one man (and some said woman), if many died by the trepass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many? Because He overcame death, therefore, a second chance is now available to all of us in this world, as He has washed our past and sins away with His blood, if only we believe Him.

For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
- John 3:16

Yes, this statement tells a lot. First, it tells us the motivation behind God's intention to allow us a second chance living - cos He loves us. Second, it tells us what He has done, by sending His one and only Son to us. Third, it tells us what we have to do - to believe in Him. Lastly, it tells us of the consequences of believing in Him. But the key point is that once we believe in Him and receive Him as our personal Lord and Saviour, it means that we are a new creation. We are given a chance to start everything anew. We are given a second chance.

Therefore comes the transformation. There is no point in saying that we are living a second chance if we are not transformed.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
- Galatians 2:20

This verse says a lot of things. It tells us that one outcome of the Jesus's death and resurrection is that God has now seen us differently. Through Christ, we have been washed clean therefore qualified to enjoy a new relationship with God. As a result, Christ begins a new act of creation in us and the newness begins everyday, because Christ lives in our heart.

Yeah, all these are some understanding that I have gotten from what have happened in the past few days, especially yesterday in service. But what was even more refreshing for yesterday in service is that there is a new sister joining the spiritual family. The whole heaven rejoiced and probably still rejoicing now and I can really feel the Holy Spirit touching my heart.

Well, then. It seems like Easter is really doing its work in people's hearts. Anyway, my name is Huanyan. Do you believe in Easter?
