Exam room - the power of prayer

As always, every semester, without fail, we will camp at the engine classroom to study for our exam. But what we didn't anticipate this semester is that the security guard uncle whom I know has left and there is a change in security guard. Similarly, there is a change in policy from the engine fac to insist the security to lock up every classroom after 12 midnight.

The new security guard is a nice person, as in he did not come to disturb us on Sunday and Monday. However, because he kena complained, he has to come and lock the classroom from Tuesday onwards. We were, indeed, locked out of the classrooms on Tuesday night and I had a bad night sleep on the table outside.

Ever since we checked into the classroom, we have maintained the policy of praying every night. The reasons are fewfold: first, as Christians, we need to seek the presence of God day in day out, and it's a good practice to seek Him through prayer; second, drawing lessons from last semester, we seriously dun want any trouble and become nomads again. We simply need to pray. What happened on Tuesday night was totally unanticipated, though it was not new.

Thanks be to God, man. On Wednesday night, the security guard agreed to leave one classroom unlocked for us to sleep inside, on the condition that we dun switch on the light. It was great, since we can now have the luxury of air con in our sleep. I believe that it's ROP - result of prayer, that soften the heart of the security guard.

Prayer is indeed powerful, and that is the single one thing which we need most during this period of time. As Jesus said: If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. It is indeed a period when we need to believe that we will receive in prayer.

Anyway, just a note of complaint... why would the school keep the air con on after 12 midnight, and force the security guard to lock the classroom? It makes no sense!!!

God is faithful. I was one of the lucky Christians who saw how God progressively grant us favor in the security guard.

Thank God that for your effort in befriending the guard. He even asked you how are u doing for your exam! lol
