A Christmas Weekend

Well, it's another Christmas that was gone. Went Christmas Eve caroling as usual. But when i was caroling, something struck me out loud. We were singing Silent Night, and as I was singing 'Radiant beam from thy Holy Face', I suddenly found it quite funny that we were singing this. Well, look back at Luke: In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. (This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) And everyone went to his own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for t

The End and the Beginning

Today is Monday, 10/12/2007. It's around 5 days after my end of the exam. It has been an eventful 5 days, and that's the reason why I have not been able to update my 'fans' on what's happening. But today is one day that I cannot refuse to blog. Anyway, I shall not bore you all with whatever single little things in my life. Reviewing a bit on my own examination. Wenjiang was asking the people last Friday, during DCLTP, about how our exams are, and how we have managed ourselves during the exam period. It was a time when I found myself becoming a bit quiet. The reason is being people were sharing their difficulties during this period of time. For me, it has been quite a manageable period. While it is true that I only had 2 papers, and they are one week apart, it has been the same for the past few semesters, when I had much more papers. Perhaps it's because somehow subconsciously, I dun find it difficult to manage my examinations. Kaiqin was telling me, that I am th

42.125 and more

As you all know, yesterday was my first marathon, running a time of 6.5 hours, and of course along the way ate my first packet of power gel, collected my first finisher tee and medal, perhaps poured the most cups of water over my head and rubbed the most muscle relief cream, all over the course of 6.5 hours. 42.125km, as I was running, was not as gruelling as it seemed to be. It was tiring in the beginning, as I struggled to pick up momentum and my leg felt stiff... and I found myself needing to visit the washroom three times along the first half of the run. Perhaps because I have completed 21km before and I have ran that route before (it was a combination of the 2 half I ran previously), it wasn't as mentally tiring as the last two half marathon. And perhaps because I know I wouldn't be able to catch the people running with me (namely Shuyi and Matthew), I didn't felt that stressed and was running my own pace. And perhaps because I was afraid that I would not see the crowd

The Laptopless days

I dropped my laptop last Wednesday after my paper. Now it's sitting in my home, waiting for the Fujitsu people to call me to inform me about the replacement screen. So now I can't exactly do anything related to laptop, other than times which I will borrow some laptop to check mails and stuffs. I finished my first full marathon yesterday with a timing of around 6.5 hours, which was my target initially. Got my first marathon tee and medal. Fantastic experience. Will blog next time once everything returns back to normal. gtg. bye
